Our Story
Gloria Brooks Williams founded The Yes You Can Women Fellowship in 2005, as an outreach ministry to aid as a beacon of hope to homeless, impoverished, and broken families.
Since our launch in 2015, the Yes You Can Women Fellowship Foundation has offered resources such as food, emergency housing, clothing, growth-based training, and support for families in need.
The Foundation has fostered several organizations under its umbrella, three of which are dear to Gloria’s heart:
-
Yes You Can Women Fellowship Mission is an outreach missionary group of volunteers that serve the homeless, our senior communities, displaced women and children, and women with addiction. Our volunteers visit and assess the immediate needs by providing support and fellowship.
-
2nd Time Around was born out of Gloria’s desire to support low-income grandparents and caregivers who are raising and supporting their grandchildren and elderly parents financially, physically, and emotionally. The Foundation acknowledges grandparents through annual awards ceremonies, offers financial support, and provides food, clothing, and continuous encouragement through periodic visits to assess their immediate needs.
-
Girlz Gone Wise is an organization that provides mentorship opportunities to young women and teens addressing the issues of bullying, low self-esteem, broken homes, and at-risk youth. The Foundation serves as a conduit to teach young girls self-worth, self-love, self-respect and respecting others. It teaches core values and provides opportunities for young women to be exposed to positive, strong role models, and mentors.

"We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world."
